Also known as the most painterly method amongst the printmaking techniques. The main characteristic of this method is that no two prints are alike. Although images can be similar, editioning is not possible as there is no permanent plate.
Day 1 – Introduction to monoprinting : Learning the basics of monoprinting. The techniques of direct draw, masking, stencilling and layering will be covered.
Day 2 – After the first day learning the basics you will be shown how to develop your prints further using overlaid shapes, ghost prints, translucent inking and chine collé. There will be a small charge for paper, all other materials are provided. Suitable for beginners and experienced printmakers
