Saturday 16 & Sunday 17 November, 10am – 3pm
Anything but a square, two day workshop.
A collagraph is made by gluing thin textured materials to a rigid plate, inks are applied to it and an impression of it is transferred onto paper using a press. You can make the plate any shape you like, this course focusses on the negative spaces you can achieve using imaginative design and composition. It is a very exciting and freeing way to make images and very liberating working anything but square.
Day 1 – plate design and construction.
Day 2 – proofing and printing.
Anita will provide all of the materials, give guidance and help throughout the course, you will leave with a set of prints and a collagraph plate that you can keep using. As well as the skills and confidence to develop your ideas further.
Bring packed lunch and any ideas that you have.
Small charge for printing paper.
