Born 1942 and brought up in Surrey. In 1958 attended Kingston School of Art and Design for one year on the National Diploma of Design Course with the intention of doing dress design. Having been persuaded to go into secretarial work instead my aspirations as an artist went by the board until 1974 when I enrolled for part time fine art classes in Cranleigh, Surrey attending until I moved to Devon in 1978. Since retiring and with time again to take up my love of painting I joined Salcombe Art Club. I have enjoyed various classes being tutored by Brian Harris, Mike Glanville, Michael Hill and Jennifer Johnson. I became a full exhibiting member in 2003 and have exhibited with Kingsbridge Art Club, Haslemere Art Society, Harbour House, Kingsbridge, Dartmouth Art Society, Salcombe annual exhibitions and private exhibitions with Neil Patey a local wildlife artist. This area of Devon continues to inspire with its ever changing vistas and beauty.
