Janette Jagger was born in the Australian desert and has painted all her life. The hot earth colours and brilliant blue, cloudless skies still influence her colour palette. She has travelled widely in Europe and lived in Brazil, and loves the coastal landscapes of the South Hams. Every place has it's own 'character' and she uses oils, acrylic, pen and wash, and water colour to suit the particular place. Her paintings range from the empty landscapes of the Red Centre of Australia to the crowded beach at Bantham full of holiday makers enjoying themselves.
