The Salcombe Art Club was founded in the 1960s to provide an opportunity for local artists to display their work and to develop their skills. It is run entirely by volunteers. Membership is open to both experienced artists and beginners. All members will be able to learn to enjoy a satisfying and stimulating activity by participating in classes held at the Loft Studio during
the winter months.
How to join
There are three categories of membership, Lay, Associate and Full.
The first step is to enrol as a Lay member. After this there is an annual selection process (usually in February or March) to become an associate or full member. Lay members will usually be elected as Associate members before progressing to Full membership.
Lay members may take part in the educational and social activities and generally assist in supporting the club but may not exhibit. (£12)
Associate members may take part in most club activities including exhibiting in the ‘This Week’ section & the browser of the Annual Summer Exhibition. (£17)
Full members may take part in all club activities and exhibit their works in the Annual Summer Exhibition when they are required to carry out their share of stewarding duties. (£27)
